It's not Islamic men. It's a Muslim man.
And that's a whole other different story for another thread. Yes, the racism towards the Muslim group are increasing due to horrific actions of a few so called "Muslims" with beards, but let's not.
Edit: Also, I guarantee those numbers from that bar graph are still the same or similar.

Ok, I didn't mean to offend anyone, this thread is about opinions. I'm just simply saying that we have to move on as a nation to move forward. Talking about slavery, talking about the holocaust, and about how all Muslims are terrorists does nothing and in my opinion brings the world further down. We have to get closure and move on. There will always be racist people in the world, and you WILL NOT be able to change their opinion. Yah it sucks. It's time to move on and show the racist people that you're better than them and to not think about the color of your skin. Rise against the racist assholes who don't like you simply because of the color of your skin.

Blacks got themselves to America on slave ships by capturing and selling their own kind.

Lmao I love when people cling and love to say this. Most African countries did not sell slaves. They fought against it. But who the **** had guns and who didn't? Answer that for yourself. The Transatlantic slave trade was on a bigger scale than any slave trade IN HISTORY. It had huge racist undertones. Greek and Roman slave trade did not. Nor did slave trade among African countries earlier.
If you think Europeans came in and just asked and gave some money to them and they handed the slaves over, you're a ****ing idiot.

You fail. I took a whole course on African History so I know more than your high school 2 minute lecture on slavery. Slavery always existed. Muslims and Asians were the first to take blacks from Africa. WHICH OTHER AFRICANS SUPPORTED. Then whites, who did it in bigger numbers. Then with quinine came the colonization of Africa. Not more Atlantic slave trading.

Racism is ****ing deep. It's ingrained in the heads of tons of American people. Just like guns. It's engraved in society. Just take a look at this.

Well in the United Kingdom and particularly America there is extreme racism towards Muslim men. At least people of other origins can get into America. America turns away so many Muslims right after they've violently questioned them. A high court in the United Kingdom recently ruled that America has committed possible war crimes in the arrest and capture of Muslim men.

If you took African history, why would you be ignorant enough to group all Africans together? They weren't all one big ass region. They were separated into countries just like in Europe which also had internal problems.

Honey, I applaud you taking courses like that, and so have I. You have 95% of the story correct...you think those slaves who primarily sold the first slaves were kept safe and sound once the traders left? You think those traders had any respect for those African sellers? They were taken next.

We learned about how to reduce negative stereotypes such as racism in my Psychology class this semester. There are a lot of conditions, so they are seldom to all be met. If any of you guys have seen the movie Remember the Titans, I will use examples from that to demonstrate how. In the following, "outgroup" refers to the group being stereotyped against. In the movie, these were the black people who were brought on to finally integrate the football team.
1. Outgroup members have traits counter to the negative stereotypes. In the movie, the African American players were hardworking, counter to what the whites believed.
2. Contact between the outgroup and the ingroup must be supported by the community/respected individuals. In the movie, Denzel Washington (the coach) enforced it.
3. The two groups are of equal status within the contact setting. They were all starters, no one was better than the other before they got on the field.
4. Contact should occur at the INDIVIDUAL level. The roommates were one black and one white, and they were forced to communicate with each other to find out that they weren't so bad after all.
5. Contact should be rewarding/some incentive. If they weren't going to be friendly to one another, they were kicked off the team.
6. Superordinate Goals are accomplished by contact. They needed both the blacks and the whites to succeed and win the game.
I think that the 6th and the 1st are the most important. The minute we realize that we can all work together to make society overall a better place is when racism will dissipate. Also, people who are being stereotyped against need to be willing to disprove those stereotypes to show the world that they ARE indeed to be treated equally! It sounds idealistic (as do all of these steps) but they are what we should strive for.

Considering they put out propaganda in Africa to make them believe they were less than the white man to justify it, YES, they had it out for black people.

Exactly. They captured other tribes willingly because they wanted more land. They got things for capturing the other tribes. It was just business for them.
