I know what you mean. When she debuted her new look, I was like, "Ugh, this bitch is going satanic on me". But, I got into it really fast. I think that it's her most relatable era in terms of emotions and whatnot. In the back of my mind, I was looking forward to the era ending as well, until "Rude Boy" became a single. It made me want the era to continue forever.
I do, too. My favorite hairstyle was the "Who's That Chick" bob thing. The first Loud era hairstyle was terrifying, to be honest. But I love how she's changed it up so much this era. She's had every style, length, and shade of red. She does seem more open now than ever before. She seems so comfortable with letting the world see her true colors, and I love it.

It hurt the era a lot. I think it could have been much more successful had they released different singles and in a different order.
When she changed her look and hairstyle I was thrown off. It was so dark and totally different than what I was expecting. But I was a Gaga stan at the time and I was accepting of her image during The Fame Monster era, so I figured that she would have a super dark image that I could live with, and great, upbeat music. But the music wasn't upbeat and at first, I didn't think it was great. I hated the era until it was over and it really does suck that I couldn't appreciate it at the time.

Not in that video or during that era! It looked burnt and thin. Ew.
