The Fame era was not artistic, it was symbolic. It showed the world who is Lady Gaga - she had a very solid image, in these days, in order to stick on people's mnds.

Thank God she dropped that old Gaga. She'd be just another Pop strumpet out there sing boring songs and making dull as dish water videoes. There is enough of that out there now to satisfy that preference.

Well, it's more a matter of opinion, I don't think it's that great either, but it was one of the videos that got her even more relevant.
My point is that if she kept on thinking small, she'd never have released videos like Bad Romance, for example.
