Yes. Australia is easily swayable and follows whatever is happening in the us. Te thing with austalia is when we like you, we REALLY like tou The three laundry service top 5's in 2002 was amazing, and because of the heat even the flop the one charted at #16 and te dejo Madrid got AirPlay.
Then shakira takes her massive breaks and people forget about her. But HDL marketed well and so did BL and brought her back on top. But between eras we don't hear about shakira at all, and all those mid era appearances eg cholera, all that philanthropy, Obama performances are unmentioned here.
Waka was NEVER played in Australia... They chose to play wavin flag instead !! Waka was a HUGE flop
PLUS I remember the lyrics getting Mocked on radio and people were complaining about her doing the song
