Then when I was 13-16, I had a phase where I only listened to rap music, used hip hop slangs and would wear chains on my neck. I got into trouble so many times during that period

I always listened to Pop music, obviously not nearly as much as I do now though. It was actually Katy Perry that got me more into Pop music.

I wasn't interested in pop music before Gaga, I was into R&B and a lot of rap songs before Gaga.

I think some people aren't understanding what I am trying to ask. Obviously people listened to pop music before Gaga. I am not that thick. I am wanting to know if you had an interest to the degree that you have now, before her. Or was it because of her that you started paying close attention? Certain artists have impact upon listeners when it comes to music, and the results prove that. No where did I ever state "Did Lady Gaga invent pop music?", so some people need to stop turning it into something that it is not. Grow up. ATRL is full of narrow-minded people that will jump at any chance to put someone down.
