JK Simmons is probably winning supporting. I could see Edward Norton getting it too. Honestly though, we won't know until the televised awards start happening. Amy Ryan won so many critics awards. And Sandra bullock won none.

Tilda won her fair share of critics awards that year and most of the precursors. Sandra swept the precursors and had a brilliant campaign. The race isn't that hard to follow if you pay attention to all the main components. There are upsets all the time, but many categories are pretty much locked by the time the ceremony airs.

Um not really. Amy Ryan swept the critics awards and won the BFCA. Cate Blanchett won the Golden Globe (and if I recall correctly several critics awards), Ruby Dee won the SAG award and Swinton won the BAFTA. A lot of people were predicting Ruby Dee, but that category was super unpredictable that year.
Sandra Bullock won zero critics awards. She swept the televised awards. I agree, the race isn't that hard to follow once the televised awards happen (BFCA, SAG, GG, BAFTA), but at this point all we have to go by are critic award winners which aren't always the best indication of who will win the Oscar (examples: Amy Ryan, The Social Network, Marion Cotillard this year and she might not even be nominated ![rip](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRLSmilies/rip_zpsec10ede9.gif) )

I agree with that, I was just making a point for both Sandra and Tilda and restating that televised ceremonies make it much easier. Then again, there are some categories that you just know are pretty much locked before the TV awards, like Cate's last year. That seems to be case for JK and probably for Julianne too, in my opinion. Marion's problem this year was also the split, I wonder why Harvey is pushing The Immigrant when Two Days, One Night seems to have the biggest chance.

Still Alice would be such a underwhelming film for Julianne to win for. It's a terrific performance but I wish she won for a bigger movie. It's like when Kate Winslet won for The Reader. Aw well, an Oscar is an Oscar!
I hope there are some huge surprises for nominations. ![Duca](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/atrlers/duca_zps480ab501.gif)

Another painfully predictable year.
Keaton is winning Best Actor, Simmons is winning Supporting, Moore is winning Best Actress and Arquette has Supporting Actress in the bag.
Linklater and Boyhood are winning Best Director and Film, no doubt about it.

It's SO obvious lol. It's just really pathetic tbh. In a way I kinda want her to be nominated, or even win, just for the backlash. The Hollywood Propaganda Machine & Jennifer Aniston will both go down (Aniston is already kinda down since her movies always flop unless she stars in ensemble comedies but yeah).

I'm certainly okay with predictable when besides Moore, all the deserving people are winning.

Yes, those are the most likely. But out of JK and Julianne I wouldn't be too sure. The Social Network was in exactly the same place a few years ago and it ended up losing.

Hmm some interesting things at BAFTA today. I've been predicting Ralph Fiennes for a while now and it's looking more and more likely that he'll be nominated. Jake Gyllenhaal seems to be a lock too.
Steve Carell I could see being nominated in supporting? Not sure, Best Actor is confusing this year. I think David Oyelowo is out and Timothy Spall is completely dead.
Jennifer Aniston wasn't eligible here so I don't know what this means. If Amy Adams gets another undeserved nomination I don't know what I'll do....
Still Think Streep is nominated.

Imelda and the Selma shutout
I did expect the Budapest slayage though. I hope it will be enough for Ralph to get an Oscar nomination. Also hoping for Rosamund to win this; it's her best chance.

Is there any chance there's an upset and Rosamund wins ![weeps](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRLSmilies/52b0f867.gif) I seriously haven't been fascinated with a movie character like I was with Amazing Amy ![eek](http://www.atrl.net/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/eek.gif)

She was basically a lock to win all season, but a few weeks before the Oscars she decided to use her own money to promote herself instead of letting the studio do it. Her reasoning for the style of the photos was that she wanted to show people how much of a transformation the role was.
But it basically backfired and she got a lot of backlash. Lots of people predicted her to lose cause of it. But she won anyways.
I really don't understand why she did it though. There was not much to suggest she was losing

It's so frustrating. I can't decide which one I dislike more (Adams and the weird undying love awards bodies have for her + her being nominated at the Oscars one more time means she is tied with Glenn Close, a true legend or Aniston).
Paramount royally ****ed over Selma.
