9. Trainwreck This was the first time I had ever seen anything with Amy Schumer in it and goddamnit she is hilarious! Her dry, crass humor is exactly the thing I love. Not only does she star but she also wrote it. I have a feeling we will hearing more success stories from her. The one complaint I have about Trainwreck is that it lacks a strong storyline to go along with the humor, which is why it ranks here at #9.

32. JoJo • "When Love Hurts" While III. wasn't exactly a return to Agápē-level form for JoJo, "When Love Hurts" is a solid effort nonetheless. She seems to be abandoning her R&B roots for a more dance-y sound, which I'm not sure about yet, but in the meantime I'll nod my head to this. In addition to that, her vocals are better than ever and I'm just happy she can actually release music again!

31. Marina and the Diamonds • "Forget" The first of a few more singles from Marina to appear on my list. I was a bit iffy the first time I listened to "Forget" but I quickly realized I was wrong, and it's an amazing song. Marina is one of the very few artists nowadays whose work isn't almost solely based on love or sex. Forget is a great reminder of her knack for writing clever and personal yet relatable lyrics.

30. Tinashe • "All Hands on Deck" First of all, let's pretend the tragic and unnecessary remixes don't exist. "All Hands on Deck" wasn't one of my standouts on Aquarius, but it definitely was the most viable hit after "2 On". It could have been a great opportunity for Tinashe to show off her unique style and flaunt her vocals a bit, but unfortunately it didn't take off. Either way, it's still a great song.

29. Lana Del Rey • "Music to Watch Boys To" The best thing about "Music to Watch Boys To" is that it's a classic Lana song. It is such a dreamy, laid-back, and sexy song. The addition of the flute is just ethereal and makes it even more saccharine. The music video for the song (which almost made my list) just amplifies everything already explains and suits the song perfectly.

28. Ellie Goulding • "On My Mind" Oh Ellie, you're becoming a little too generic for your own good. However, while "On My Mind" doesn't particularly stand out from the rest of Delirium, taken on it's own it is a great track and a great lead single choice for the album. I love how the song has a sort of stop-and-go uneasy vibe going on. Notice how Ellie is drinking.

27. Drake • "Hotline Bling" I've said this and I'll stick to my word that Drake always sounds better when's he sings more than he raps. "Hotline Bling" is no exception. The song has an easygoing feel about it, and the instrumental is one of the best I've heard this year. Unfortunately the song was blocked from #1 on the Hot 100, which is something Drake really deserves. Nevertheless, Drake still put out one of the best and most successful singles of the year, so kudos. #canadianpower
