I'm from UK and no he is not. His music is more radio friendly at the moment, so he lands #1s easier, but he himself is largely unknown, where as Britney is a household name.

Yeah, that's right, but it's just three in a row because he had other songs chart inbetween OMG and This is Love, which missed #1.

will.i.am also produced American Boy which got to #1 in the UK, but he wasn't credited on it. There's also 5 #1s as part of the Black Eyed Peas, so he has been involved in 10 UK #1 hits overall.

Shakira was definitely a factor in Beautiful Liar being #1, let's not forget that she was huge at that time with Hips Don't Lie being released a few months earlier. Also Deja Vu and If I Were A Boy were just fluke #1s, as they both reached the top spot in quiet weeks.

Actually, not only Britney, but also Robbie Williams and Usher (who's #1 this decade was also coincidentally a will.i.am collab).

Still a great achievement though. She's the only female to do this so far. Christina almost managed it but Moves Like Jagger spent 7 weeks at #2.

If I Were a Boy was a very big hit in the UK. Deja Vu not so much, but still.

Beautiful Liar was also helped to #1 by Freemasons, but it was a very big hit at the time, I think it definitely deserved to be #1, and all three artists contributed to its success imo (that can be said for most collabs though).
