If it all happened so fast (matter of seconds), would your first reaction really be "hey I could use the flash on my camera to warn the driver" and then do it? I guess we're to presume the camera was already on and ready with flash, too?
Regardless, it's so disrespectful for this image to be published...
this is disgusting, exploitive and direspectful. like i cant even. WHY would anybody publish a picture like that, ofcourse for the $, but its so shocking the lack of morals people could have.. theres just so much wrong with this and i just dont understand
When I first heard this, I thought that maybe the guy had been electrocuted or was close to the third rail. It seems he was not. My friend's dad works on the third rails in NYC and you can't even save somebody if you see someone being electrocuted. Everyone's that's there has to watch the person die. If you were go to maybe try to pull the person away, y'all would both die. It's very sad tbh. My friend's dad has been electrocuted 2 times but he never died.
This photo makes me sick to my stomach. Your job as a human being should always outweigh your job as a photojournalist.
It reminds me of Kevin Carter's famous picture of the starving Sudanese child being preyed on by a vulture, when Carter preferred to snap photos for 20 minutes instead of helping the dying child.

I think they have special gloves or something. He has to go around and turn them off/on. It's a risky ass job tho. When he dies, the government will give their family 600k since they're really poor and it is a government job.
