The four members of Chaos Planet met whilst working at an owl sanctuary (tons of Bastille merch has owls on it) in Greater Yarmouth. One owl in particular, Laura (Palmer), flew so close to the sun (Icarus) it caused the four friends to intervene. Between them, they orchestrated such glorious harmonies they wooed the bird back to earth daily.
Developing their voices and musicianship, they left the aviary behind and embarked on a new career path, embracing the name Chaos Planet as a constant reminder of society’s environmental flaws and their deep respect for Sir David Attenborough (John Hammond from Jurassic Park, one of Dan's favorite films).
Playing their first gig on July 14th at a hortacology convention in Durban (Skies), Chaos Planet stunned crowds with their instant songwriting, huge choruses, and bejeweled jumpsuits. After an incendiary stint in Naples, they hit London’s Courtyard for this must see show.
I'm not listening to the snippets, nor have I listened to any live performances, so I'm gonna have so many completely new songs to listen to when this drops, I'm so excited. Good Grief and Fake It are already my two favorite Bastille songs ever, this album is going to be incredible.
