I'm sorry, which of Gaga's previous videos were set in the context of a Biblical story? Don't come back to me with Alejandro. That video incorporated imagery from Catholicism (among other things), but those two things are hardly the same.
I also doubt this'll be that controversial. I also never realized what a moron Laurieann sounds like. I know you've been saying it for awhile, Nicole, but I never took the time to actually read something she'd said. Wow.

Alejandro was based on Shakespeare's work, "Cabaret". This time, she's likely going to base it on the "Gospel of Judas" and/or "Gospel Of Magdalene".

She's not here for that! She's here to continue raising the bar, mothering the hoes.

Gaga is really trying hard to rehash the infamous behavior of Madonna.

The comparisons with LAP will come because of the religious content. But i hope Gaga don't push to hard on this one, she don't need to give to the critics more things to criticize.

No one was talking about Ke$ha.

Well, BT -- I wouldn't say Gaga is shocking now. The consensus nowadays consists of shoulder shrug followed by the line, "That's Lady Gaga for you." They'll talk about her for two days and then she disappears until she does something else "shocking."
Excuse me? Who do you think you're talking to, Rainbows?
Don't get cute. I'm forever relaxed. I was and still am on topic.

It is trying something different. I mean would someone ever dare or would even come up with these ideas? That's just Gaga: putting the bar so high so that others (though some try) could not reach her game - this video will may be the same as Alejandro due to the religious overtones, as you speak.. but Alejandro had a different reference - it was from Shakespeare's "Cabaret". This time she's basing it on the "Gospel Of Judas" and "Gospel Of Magdalene", which is more deep than Shakespeare's "Cabaret".

I see what you're trying to get at, Ralph. But the bigger picture is that the media will see Gaga doing yet another religious theme. You'd think she'd close that door, not to avoid controversy, but because she has already been down that road. Challenge yourself to be more creative instead of going for concepts that will only stir controversy. That's weak.

I'm a Madonna-Stan but I don't see the point of these delusional comparisons.

Girl you're a Madonna stan and you're telling me that you didn't know Madonna wrote + created the Bible?

As for my actual thoughts on this:
I don't mind a religious-themed video since, well, the song is called Judas. Doesn't everyone always complain that her videos have nothing to do with her songs?
But if she's smart she won't make another dark, grotesque, overlong video where she tries very hard to make herself look extra ugly.
In 2009 it felt fresh and unexpected to see a major pop star do that. In 2011 it's the first thing you expect from Lady Gaga.

I'm talking to you sis.
Your first couple of posts were extremely off-topic.
Stay on the subject matter of the video "Judas" starring Lady GaGa + Norman Reedus.

Jesus was never married.

I'm not trying to undermine your faith, but really, you don't get to tell me that The Da Vinci Code is just fictional rubbish. I don't believe it, but I don't believe The Bible either. And let me say this, neither of us were around to see if:
a) Jesus existed
b) Mary Magdalene was his wife or not
So if you would like to believe both, go ahead. That's what your religion teaches you and I respect that.

And what's interesting is that Gaga is releasing the song on Holy Thursday, which I believe, the day Judas betrayed Jesus.

"Religion" is a rather broad theme and not exactly one which can be thoroughly plumbed even through two videos. For one thing, the historical setting of this video would likely be quite different from Alejandro.
I don't know why she should be limited to one "religious" video (and it's not like Alejandro solely incorporated religious imagery) unless it really were a mindless gimmick and that was just one more box to check off.

Yes. No shade intended. I'd love to see what this Judas thing is about though.
