this. i started disliking her music ever since she started releasing stuff in English tbh - Laundry Service. i only like Underneath Your Clothes for the songs in English, love all the Spanish tracks. i hate all of her English stuff specifically because it's when she started to go the generic route. and while i do like/listen to some generic music, i don't necessarily think all artists have to go that route to be successful; especially if they sacrifice good music in the process. her roots =real music. i had high hopes of her returning to them when she released Fijacion Oral. but then she had to release part 2, and did that stupid/annoying song with Wyclef (another artist who was once good). if she didn't shake her ass during the entire performances/video of it that song would have fallen flat on its ass for what it was/is: crap. then came She Wolf/Loba, again i didn't like either one. and i was quite sad because even though i don't like her English stuff i have always liked her music in Spanish. and just as i was going to forget about new shakira music she releases Sale El Sol; and i love the song and the video. i'm not a fan of Rabiosa but this, i am not even going to bother listening to ANY of the music she releases with all of these people. so sad because she has talent, but this is what she's come to.
p.s. i threw RedOne under the bus for working with JLo & for producing Hair, not because MTN flopped. i LOVE MTN regardless of it's place in the charts (or lack there of). I have never cared for Akon or the guys who have a career because their Dad/Grandpa was an A&R for Motown.
