I resent the term "race card". Speaking honestly about race isn't pulling anything -- it's just telling the reality. White women can speak about sexism and nobody calls it an "excuse" or "pulling" a "card", but when we CLEARLY live in a racist society, a black person can't speak candidly about race without the idiotic term "race card" being pulled out.
I feel like he's using his race as an excuse and to cover up his jealously of Taylors success. Like im not even a taylor fan and completely agree that Dr Luke recycles beats constantly, but this is just a biT of a reach.
Why is ANYONE giving this clown the time of day?
His points are valid, but coming from the mouth of the man who tried to make Kim Kardashian a popstar (the poster child for white mediocrity)....he can screw himself basically.

I think pulling the 'race card' often (if not all the time) means race is being used as an excuse unjustly, such in this case. But I agree with you wholeheartedly, just not regarding this particular incident.
He's an idiot. Most of the top selling artists of all time are African American. Just because white artists like Adele and Taylor Swift can sell albums nowadays doesn't mean it's a race thing.
NONE You didn't hear black people have created nearly EVERY genre that is listened to on the radio. from Rap/R&B/Rock/Jazz/Electronic Dance House Disco/Blues/ Funk..... etc And that's just African American/Black
Caribbean/Latin include Reggae, Salsa, Bachata, Reggaeton all having BLACK origins.
Don't forget about the countless genres from Africa.
All these rhythms are used in "pop music" of those countries.
We must bow down and give credit where credit is due. Black people worldwide have provided the soundtrack to popular music around the world.
music goes beyond the 20th century. learn about Mozart please.
