11. Anthony Hamilton - Can't Let Go
- My favorite solo artist ever. He's the savior of r&b music in my opinion. He captures the real essence of r&b in every song and this one is no exception, plus he's got one of the best voices in the business. This song is about being in love with someone no matter what the rest of the world says and I agree with him because no matter what, you always have to do what your heart tells you to do. But yeah this song is sheer brilliance, if only more songs were half as good as this, r&b surely would be everyone's favorite type of music.

10. 30 Seconds to Mars - Attack
- Wow! It's such a surprise to have this one this high because:
a) It's from 2005
b) I usually don't like this type of music
c) it's ****in Jared Leto
But all in all, it's such an amazing song. From the tetris sounds to the amazing chorus to the incredible WHOAAAAAA to the powerful lyrics...just perfection. I didn't pay much attention to this song when it was released, but gladly I decided to give it another chance at the beginning of 2006 and it became not only one of my favorite songs of the year, but also one of my favorite songs of all time. True story.

After much deliberation, me and a friend of mine have come to the conclusion that, without a doubt, Jared Leto is very, VERY gay. Don't get us wrong, we love gay men, and we love Jared, but honestly, we think that he should just come out of the closet already. Admit it, He's to pretty to be straight!

09. Young Dro ft T.I. - Shoulder Lean
- Sure, he might be just another generic rapper but you gotta admit this song is the epitome of catchy. Mix a very unique beat, a stupid dance and T.I. and what do you get? A top 10 summer hit and #9 in this list of mine.

Special Mention: Case - Not Your Friend
As much as I love my country Mexico, clearly there are a lot of disadvantages for mexicans, the most obvious being the ****** state in which music is and always has been. ****** music floods the radio mainly because of payola, talentless artists invade music channels etc. My favorite type of music is r&b and sadly, nobody even knows about the existence of it in Mexico because people are used to listening to crap on a daily basis and they don't even care to expand their ****** payola'd narrowed music taste. The only form of r&b we've ever gotten is Destiny's Child and Usher, and needless to say I never even knew about the existence of this song, or any of Case's song for that matter. Being the r&b junkie I am, I'm always looking for artists and songs (gotta love the internet) and that's how I discovered this timeless masterpiece around October of 2006. I instantly fell in love with it so i had to debut and retire it on my ****down even though it's 5 years old. I'm seriously mad that Mexico overlooks gems like this. I mean it's just perfect: he's got an amazing voice, it's such a relaxing song, it's very-well produced, what else do you need in a song? It's sooo good that I showed it to everyone I know, and everyone said it's "too american". Oh well, it's their loss, as long as they keep being influenced by the devil (aka radio and tv) and listening to unspeakably horrendous acts like RBD, Panda, Motel, Nikki Clan, Alex Ubago and an infinite number of other talentless artists, they'll never have a chance to appreciate one of the best songs of all time: this one.

08. Monica ft Dem Franchize Boyz - Everytime Tha Beat Drop
- Monica has released several classics in the past: The Boy is Mine, Angel of Mine, The First Night, U Should've Known Better etc. and i was really anticipating this song but I admit when I first heard it I was kinda dissapointed cause it just didn't compare to her older stuff. Thankfully I was addicted to snap music at the time so it grew on me like crazy and became my favorite song by her, and an excellent addition to the "Monica classics" list.

07. Danity Kane - Show Stopper
- My snap obsession must have been really big! Seeing I have 2 snap songs in the top 10. Normally I wouldn't have paid much attention to this song but what can I say? snap is awesome and so is this song. They should release more songs like this.

06. Daddy Yankee - Rompe
- Highest foreign language song of the year. This song is soo great in soo many ways: catchy, fun to sing along to, fun to dance to, perfect to get drunk to, perfect for the club and so on. It's not even that I love it to death or anything, but it's this high because of all the memories it brings. It basically was played at every party I went to in 2006 so yeah you can imagine what kind of memories it brings...

05. Jagged Edge - Stunnas
- My precious crushes! They have never dissapointed me in the past, and this year was no exception. They released one of the best albums of their career with gems like Good Luck Charm and Season's Change, but left out this masterpiece. Later they decided to put it up on their website and make it a single after people responded positively to it. At first I thought it was the worst thing they've ever released, but thankfully I saw the light and realized what a masterpiece this is. Terribly overlooked, but in decades I'll listen to this song and remember how it made the summer of 2006 one of the best of my life.

Of course "Attack" being in the top ten is a good thing. And "Say It Right" being anywhere.
Videos list was great, non-singles(at least the top ten) was good. Not surprised that I didn't make your favorite posters list, I mean, I did some things that I know you didn't like and all. I was surprised by the comments you made for Johnny, though. I actually thought you didn't like him.

04. Sean Paul - Temperature
- I don't know what it is but Sean Paul is one of those artists that keep you coming back for more. Everything he puts out is extremely enjoyable and this of course is no exception.
A club banger released in early 2006 that, even though horribly overplayed, I never stopped liking. It was with me the whole year and it also brings back drunken memories. I couldn't help but put it high at #4.

03. Cruna - Take me Higher
- First of all, sorry for the ****** picture but it was soo hard finding pics of him. Chances are, you probably never heard of him. I myself was reluctant to hear this song when it debuted at #1 on the Blastro weekly ****down in October of 2005!. I thought to myself "what kind of an artist name is Cruna?". Then I heard good things about the song and decided to give it a listen. Indeed it was a cool song but only that. 4 months later, in February of 2006 I found out my sister knew him when they were younger and I was like wow that is sooooo cool! and that's when i truly appreciated the greatness of this gem. It's such an amazing uptempo r&b song about a relationship where 3rd parties keep meddling. Not the most original topic to talk about in a song. This song is all about the musical arrangements and vocal performance. Definitely not your typical r&b song, it mesmerizes you everytime you hear it, I don't even know how to describe it, I guess you'd have to listen to it to know what I'm talking about. Ohh and it is the best male song of the year.

02. Shakira ft Wyclef Jean - Hips Don't Lie
- The race for the top spot on my year-end list was VERY close between this and the actual #1, but there can be no ties so this came in 2nd. When I heard this song in February I KNEW it would be the biggest hit of her career. Thankfully I wasn't wrong. This is song is probably the definition of overplayed, but I never got sick of this song, it just kept getting better and better after every listen. Plus I woke up to this song almost everyday in 2006, as it was my alarm ringtone. It was my #1 song of the year until September, when I heard an even better song...
