I at no point said IWBD (solo) was bad, just that the remix makes it feel a bit more realised and full.

The IWBD remix ruins the song. First of all, 3 verses is an overkill. I'd rather have Brandy's second verse than any of them. TOO much time and focus was taken away from Brandy, the core of the damn song. And secondly, what I LOVE about the original is how smooth and soft Brandy sounds against the drums and all. It really didn't call for a rap verse, let alone 3.

I do agree with the excessive verses, but the Remix elevated the song to another way: Giving Brandy the street cred she needed. She had LEGENDS on a debut single. Like who else can say that? LITERALLY NO ONE.
