He was born a woman and is attracted to men, so she's a straight (or Bi) woman. But now that she got the procedure and is now a man and is assumingly still attracted to men, if he were to get into a relationship with a man, society will see them as a gay couple because most people won't know he was originally a woman.

Even if people knew that he wasn't a cis male he would still be a transman male who's gay. Gender and sexuality are a different thing.
