You can really hear the jazz/neo-soul influences on I'd Rather Be Your Lover which is reason enough to like it, but in the end it kind of falls flat to me for some reason. It features a rap verse from Meshell Ndegeocello making it the only vocal collaboration from the album and interestingly the only one in the entire rate.
I gave it a 6, tying it with another song from the album as my lowest rated but looking back I may have been a bit harsh, its kind of a bop.
Kylie joins the fun with her first elimination in Automatic Love and I have to say I'm a bit pissed. Its got a great mellow vibe all through and it really kicks into high gear towards the end at the mesmerizing mix of piano and violin.

Battling for probably my favourite track off of the album I'd be willing to bet that Love Tried To Welcome Me ranks among Madonna's most underrated tracks. I love that slight Latin vibe that comes in with the guitar and the sweet smooth vocals that she delivers. Not to mention that it has such a personal revealing tone all throughout.
He was in jail so it'd be stupid to put that version on her docile album

I know a lot of people like "in your face, **** you" Madonna but mid-90s Madonna >
DS and IDRBYL are the worst BS tracks, still over 7/10 though
