Why do some people have an OWNERSHIP mentality? When POC get dragged for something, then white people get praised for doing the same thing, then that's one thing.

But the funk/R&B-inspired music that JT makes didn't make him more successful than many of the POC who did that a LONG time ago. There are a HUGE amount of black artists who have gotten just as, if not more, successful than JT.

So the cultural appropriation thing needs to take a seat this time around.
