well maybe we can have an artist news thread that will be similar to the blogs.... where the post will remain at the top.... but instead of the blog comments.... we keep the same little comment box that the groups currently have.

and maybe we can seperate the group section into 2 and have like Artist fan groups, and then regular social groups.

I come online every day and see like 10-15 invitations, 90 % of which from JGibson. He is the creator of most of the groups.

ok I know you hate it, most of us do. But are you really asking why? Because I could swear that TC discussed this at least twice in this same thread. It was a hack that HE implemented himself in the old Vbulletin software that is not (yet at least) possible with the new software. We're just going to have to deal with it and be happy about the IMPROVEMENTS rather than upset about the minimal things that we lost.

I don't know, the thread update feature is far too big of a loss IMO. It really set ATRL apart from other forums. But if I understand correctly all those hacks that TC built into the old software caused a lot of instability, so there wasn't really any other option. We'll just have to get used to doing things the old fashioned way.
