My point is that America picked it, not an unknown behind BB or the Grammy committee. Everyone in the country was cheering for Britney right then and there. It doesn't matter what show it was, it was just one of those times that showed who was really on top.
I'm saying there was a time period when black artists couldn't be played on Pop Radio, so the complaining about certain Caucasian artists not being able to be played on Urban is
I mean look at the 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's artists chosen.
They changed the airplay format in 1998. So this is "penance" for what happened decades ago? That's one of the most ignorant comments ever made on this site. EVER.

That's really shady. It's not our fault they were banned from radio. Extremely shallow and ignorant, but I expect nothing less. I figured you wouldn't be so shady about things like that in the past considering the bans enforced on gay/lesbian community at the moment.. smh

Whatever, like I said dont blame black artist because they have crossover appeal, especially since they HAD TO fight for it. And there was still a time when black artist couldn't be played on pop radio so my statement stands.

And it's not our fault that urban radio won't play "...Baby One More Time"
The only ignorance here is you acting like the ****ing Teen Choice Awards matter or Britney has been bigger and more popular than Beyonce when the facts say no.
