In less than one week two of music's most powerful artists released new videos and both are pretty much a return to form for their stars. Beyonce's "Single Ladies" is a club thumper that echoes the "pat your weave" female empowerment message from "Get Me Bodied," while Britney Spears' "Womanzier" sees her slipping back into multiple roles a la "Toxic."

And each video has an important message to get across. Beyonce wants all exes to learn: "If you like it, then you shoulda put a ring on it," while Britney wants the world to know, "You say I'm crazy, I got your crazy."

While I love both songs - Beyonce's immediately, Britney's grew on me - when it comes to who created the best video I have to hand it to Beyonce. Her stripped down clip is the exact opposite of Britney's everything-but-the-kitchen sink approach. When it comes to dancing B's got Brit beat again. One careful look at "Womanizer's" office scene lets fans know that while her body and brain are in great shape, Britney's dancing still needs some work - I could pull those moves off better. Meanwhile, Beyonce gyrates her upper body like it's not connected to the lower half - crazy impressive.

But don't take my word for it, both videos are after the jump - which do you like the best?

Though the reviewer from EW praised Beyonce's video, the poll shows different. And the second one didn't really degrade Britney. Britney didn't really dance in her music, and the times that she did, proved she's got what she had back and there's time to work harder before a tour and promotion performances.

Anyways, I saw Bee on BET and she showed both videos. "Single Ladies" was first. And I still hate the video. Anyone who loves it should love "Gimme More" video as well. Britney stripped down, Beyonce widened her legs even more than I thought she could. So both are incredibly cheap, and overly sexual.

But watching the video made me in some way love the song.

At first when I read "there's only one scene" in someone else's post, I lost interest. However, after watching this video, I was reminded of the good old days when music artists didn't need big special effects, flashy cars and jewelry, storylines, and millions of scene/outfit changes to make people admire their work.

The quick-witted dance moves/shots and unique use of light and dark alone really kept me interested. I've never really seen Beyonce show off her dancing skills like she does in this video. I haven't cared much for her material lately, but this song and video gave me something to talk about. We have a winner.
