It was a third installment of a wildly successful series. It was going to be a hit with or without Beyonce. All the others are stand-alone films. Plus, if you count inflation, Dolly Parton reigns with a great lead. So, it's really hard to actually compare these films. There's too many variables.
Who gives a damn when Beyonces paycheck was way bigger? Gabourey Sidibe got rave reviews for Precious as well, but you won't be seeing her at the Oscars again anytime soon.
