It's not really desperate when it's literally the most requested song right now. My local stations, and I have three, and z100 as well, all have this song on top as their most requested on some nights
Unless they have teams of people requesting the song, which really wouldn't surprise me, then I'm not sure why it would be desperate that they are getting added so much
I wouldn't be surprised if it got near top 30 next week
