I dont think he's a gimmick, but the only thing I dont like about him is that he's a bit of a sellout. I want his R&B side back where he shined and didnt sound like everyone else.
Are you calling his personal life a gimmick? And did you ever think that maybe he feels like he HAS to record some of those songs considering that's the only thing selling/charting/being popular at the moment.
Real artists are known for making art that inspires them and they can connect to not music to sell, if he has to do what is popular atm just because then no, he is not a real artist
