^ I'm no miley stan but I'm very impressed by her performance this past month. Digital performance IMO matters more than how many times some stupid dj wants to spin you on his radio station. I actually can't believe how much power American radios have in selecting what the number one will be. In the UK radios of course play a role in the charts but it is indirect. Miley should be really proud of her hit.
Technically it can be called a number one since it hit one on digital songs, just like lovegame is a number one hit since it got to number one on pop radio songs chart so
it isn't a true #1 until its been #1 on the billboard hot 100 which it is isn't going to. this week "down" by jay sean is gonna be #1 followed by Britney and then Michael Jackson.
I think people are really bored with the songs we've had in the top 10 for a while now, so since Ms. Britney released a new song, everybody is rushing to but it.
