I remember this kind of hype with "4" and that didn't turn out too well. I also remember how the SB did absolutely nothing for "MDNA". I think with PEPSI paying for everything, she'll get more promo, but as we all know, more promo does not equate to more sales. It's up to Beyonce to create catchy music. If she's planning on staying with the R&B sound, then I have no doubt in mind that the album will not sell well. EDM is the future, and Beyonce will have to exploit that if she wants this album to be the "most successful ever". With this kind of hype and backing, the album is being set up to fail. Because of all of this nonsense going on, if it doesn't open big and have massive longevity, it's going to look like a failure.

I agree. She went hard on promo for Run the World so that is not what Beyonce has ever lacked. If she brings the music, that success will return. All though I liked 4 a lot. Big mistake End of Time wasn't her first single tho. I like RTW but I can see how it was super innapropriate for a single release nevermind first single. End of Time and Countdown would have made 4 a lot bigger as single 1 and 2.

Madonna was lazy with her promo, plus she's way past her prime. Two completely different cases.
