For someone so in tune with her gay audience, you'd think Lady Gaga would be aware that they want fun, flashy colors and hot clubby dance songs. We saw what happened when Rihanna went dark and tried to be a "rock star." Not even radio, her forte, paid attention to her. Rihanna learned her lesson and came back with colors (she made sure even her hair wasn't dark ) blazing and club tracks thumping. Hopefully Gaga learns too.

I partly agree. Rihanna went dark but her beats werent really commercial. The material and music were dark. She released a dark ballad, an urban track , a rock track, she was all over the place. Rude boy was the only thing close to what she did in the past.
Gaga's subject matter may be dark but its still has an electro dance beat backdrop. People nowadays only listen to beats when they are at the club and the singles she has released display this.
