Discussion: Are some artists below others and is it fair?

I feel like the only reason those three are separated is because they did something iconic. It doesn't matter if they're flopping now or in the future, or if they can't bust out hits or if their music is always reviewed better or worse. The fact is that they all had a monumental impact on pop culture at least once in their careers. At one point, they reigned a top the music scene and pop culture.

Gaga is more mulit-talented then Bey. She's a better better writer, director, producer and can play the piano. Bey beats her in singing and dancing but my god Bey is a pretty mediocre writer. 
I'd say they're about even.

Talent wise I think it goes like this:
1. Beyonce, Adele
2. Gaga
3. Rihanna
4. Katy
5. Nicki, Ke$ha, (old Britney I guess)
6. Britney

No shade, but why does Ke$ha keep coming up? She hasn't had a song out since early 2011. If Ciara isn't discussed, then Ke$ha definitely shouldn't be either.

It made her bigger for like 2 years, just because people were anxious to see what she would do next. After that the general public moved on

Yeah I agree with the Michael thing..I was referring to flop albums/singles not tarnishing his reputation, being a child molester is another story completely..
I don't think Britney ever did anything crazy enough to become as much of a joke to the general public as Michael did though. Yeah she is a joke to some people but I think she redeemed herself before she went too far over the edge

Why is Adele above Gaga? Technically Gaga is a stronger vocalist. Gaga also can dance and play an instrument.
Also Katy is a much better vocalist then Rihanna. Rihanna doesn't even write her music. Nor she does dance. Rihanna should be at the bottom.

Beyonce and adele are the most respected 
then you have gaga even though her costums kinda did hurt that.
and then you have kesha,katy,rihanna who are just seen as the normal popstar ..
