If you look at the top of the Billboard charts, over and over again for every week, month, year etc I think you will find there is no perfect pop song.
You&I and Don't Tell Me aren't comparable in the slightest, DTM has a global sound to it, and is VERY pop. Apart from the strings, I don't hear any country.
Fun fact: The Conjuring, which cost under $20M, has already outgrossed Pacific Rim, which cost over $200M.
It's amazing what a strong trailer can do for a movie, and The Conjuring's trailer was terribly effective. The Purge opened big because of its excessive marketing campaign.
