Wow, Taylor's sales are amazing! Would be pretty cool if the album goes 2 x platinum before 2009.

Beyonce fell only 50%!
Really disappointing sales for both Guns N Roses & Kanye West.

SPEARS SOARING: Based on one-day sales reports, though it’s still early, Britney Spears’ Jive/ZLG album Circus, which hit the streets today, is on track to exceed expectations. Originally, pundits had it pegged at around 300k, but initial retailer feedback indicates it could go much higher. Give credit to radio airplay, stellar reviews, the MTV documentary and a widely seen performance on ABC’s Good Morning America, where she announced her upcoming tour, for the positive results. (HDD)
400K, here we come!

So **** if Kanye's first weeks are lower than expected, not many artists could pull off such a dramatic musical reinvention with such numbers as he has scored.
And the album is amazing.

Blackout did 283k, I was expecting like 450-500k for Circus. At least we know it will be more than 300k.

Wow, your numbers are off. First of all, HDD is not official--you have to wait until Billboard posts the SoundScan numbers to calculate. And even if you go by HDD, Taylor is already over 1 million in sales. Beyonce = 483,177 + 254,555 = 737,732 and I have a feeling her total this week will be less than what HDD posted.

I AM...Sasha Fierce
1st Week: 482,428
2nd Week: 254,555 (HITS)
Total: 736,988
B'DAY
1st Week: 541,196

B'day had a 1 to 3 fall too, but fell by 70%. This is selling better than B'Day

^B'Day came out in September, not in the middle of November when sales are highest. IA...SF will sell at least a million less than B'Day...mark my words.
