What has she done recently to piss/turn people off from her? (I'm not coming at you, I'm just wondering what people are referring to). I mean, since the TEGO debacle her momentum has been going up. Y&I has done better than anyone expected, the video for it was one of her best ever, she's singing/writing with Tony Bennett and Cher, she's performing live at a charity event with U2, etc. The truth is every big pop star goes through the inevitable backlash. Britney's gone through it. Christina's gone through it. Madonna's gone through it.

So while she may never be as big as she was during TF/TFM/early BTW era, she's still going to continue to make hit records a release music that pleases the masses.

I've been to many retailers and I always see many more BTW copies on the shelf than I see TF or TFM. In fact, there's usually only one or two of them left.


(Oh, and there's always more BTW standards left than the deluxe).

She's taken a few knocks this year...but lately she's had non stop great press - the VMAs (most of the blogs slated Katy as a try hard), Nicki Minaj's outfits have made gaga look good and made people appreciate that she does what she does really well, the Harpers cover, You and I going top 10, the video was well recieved...loads of international promo coming up. The album is steady in the top 20 in loads of countries all over the world....the Cher duet is coming soon too...which will be great PR for gaga...it's nice to see a legendary performer embracing her after the uncalled for shade from Bette and Grace.

I think with a Christmas re-release she can get close to 10 million.

But other than that I don't think it'll happen. At this point promotion won't help much if the right singles aren't chosen.

For me what she's been doing wrong isn't about a bad iTunes update or a poor radio day. It's about the bigger picture: the entire look, sound & theme of the era is the problem. That big overarching problem is what's causing smaller ones, such as the bad iTunes update or poor radio day. And it's what's turning people off from her.
