The remix trend really annoyed me around when LFN's remix was released but I've since calmed down my opinion and I could just care less at this point. Do ya thang.

You know, I listen to mainly RnB and hip hop music, so remixes seem normal to me, so I was a bit surprised at all the fuss I read on forums about them. But yeah, they don't concern me really.
The main thing I haven't liked about the remixes from the pop girls is that they're mainly almost identical to the original versions, except with maybe a verse from a guest artist. Which is a bit disappointing. It would be better if they had completely different instrumentals aswell.
For example, back in 2009, Boom Boom Pow had 3 remixes released. A 50 Cent remix, a Kid Cudi remix and a David Guetta remix. If you Youtube them all and listen to them, those three and the original are all completely different. It's like 4 different songs practically.
So it can be exciting when your favourite album track becomes a single, since you get an EP of lots of different versions of it. It's almost like having a new mini-album.
