Wow that's the first time I've seen Circus in anyone's top 3
the sad thing is that it's a decent album but she needed to serve an exceptional body of work.
If circus were handled correctly with a stronger body of work then FF would have fared better now matter how chubby she looked.
During her comeback, people actually cared about her views on it all.
They covered it but it was so surface level:
Womanizer
Circus
Out from under (should have been a closer)
Kill the lights
Shattered glass
Trouble
then out of nowhere put a song designed for the blackout on there Blur
then a weird track about the pap Mmm papi
then out of place lace and pleather, my baby, rock me gwen
then the expected sexy bops IUSA and Phonography
Unusual you should have been a single and also a transition track after addressing the past 12 months
Circus needed Blur (my fave), Mmm papi, rock me in, my baby and lace and leather removed.
It needed to be replaced with something that delved deeper than the surface and had 1 or 2 song and then 3 more songs in the vain of Unusual you and IUSA so that it could be well rounded
40% addressing the issues
40% progressing and moving forward
20% fun and sexy bops.
An album
Blame FF all you want. Circus is where she had the opportunity to set things up and had they done the theme correctly for Circus when people cared, they wouldn't have felt the need to create a britney jean in the first place.
