These definitely sexism, but sometimes I don't know whether it's in favor of women are almost against them. It's like people are trying to nitpick at everything the female artist does, and she's expected to be "sexy" & have the greatest voice on earth or she's a ***** or "boring". But a man can sing about sex, do discounts, & have a weak voice & while he may not be respected like a truly amazingly talented male performer, he isn't viewed the same as his female counterpart, or as negatively.
My rant.

I think on here it's almost as if men simply don't exist in the charts. Like T-Pain has this new song out, that nobody ever talks about. And a few weeks ago a bunch of people said they forgot Black and Yellow, one of the biggest songs of 2010/2011, got to #1. WTF?! And so on. A female artist at #100 on iTunes will get talked about more than a male artist at #3. lol.
However, I don't think the pop remix "trend" got crazy at all.
Firstly, it's not a "trend" at all. Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera were using remixes to get to #1 over 10 years ago! Infact, Mariah Carey would sometimes make two different music videos for each of the remixes! It's nothing new.
Secondly, I don't really think it got crazy. Like how many pop songs got the treatment this year? Only a few. When there's like 20 rap remixes of songs getting released every WEEK, I don't think a remix being released once a month from a pop girl is a big deal.
Again, going back to T-Pain's current song, he has a remix of 5 O'Clock featuring 2 Spanish rappers on it. But again, nobody cares, but if Katy Perry did it, it'd be a massive deal, and everybody would be hating on her and talking about it for months.
And, going back to Black and Yellow, there was a remix of it featuing Snoop Dogg, Juicy J, T-Pain, even with a music video recorded seprately for it. Nobody on here cares, but there'd be utter uproar if Britney Spears did a remix to Criminal with a brand new music video!
