I watched The Visit yesterday and it was REALLY good. I usually think the comedy/horror blend is cheesy but they did a really good job.

The twist was really good too but kinda flawed. If it wasn't the kids's grandparents then who were they? How did they know they kids were coming (especially if the mother hasn't seen her parents since she left)? Why did they kill the real grandparents? What was wrong with them and why would they act strange after 9:30?

Can someone explain?

do any of y’all like Trick r treat? I think it’s a perfect watch this time of year. I love how all the stories tie together and manage to incorporate zombies, slashers, and a creature feature all in one. truly a halloween classic

The "grandparents" were patients at the mental facility that the kids' real grandparents volunteered at. Their real grandparents were telling the patients how excited they were that they were finally going to meet their grandchildren. The two psychos were probably lovers in the hospital and missed interacting with children so they saw that was an opportunity. I can't remember what the old man had but the old woman had that night-mood-effecting thing that the teen girl researched, and she was probably schizophrenic too (with the alien stuff). The one woman that the psychos hung from a tree was another volunteer at the facility (iirc) and that's why she was seen arguing with them outside; she knew those people weren't the actual grandparents/volunteers and they had to kill her to prevent being exposed.

Oh, forgot to mention I watched I Spit On Your Grave 3 today. It was awful. Great kills and decent acting from the lead but the movie made sense. It felt like a meninist's wet dream.

The Final Girls (and Knock Knock) isn't online in 1080p yet and I'm so pressed I aint have $7 to rent it on iTunes and I haven't waited all this time to see it in gross 720p.

Gyal I know that problem but I mean he obviously had some serious mental issues between nearly shooting himself, getting violent at times, throwing his diaper in the kids face

Ugh I didn't have time tonight anyway I want to see it in a theater but the closest showing is in Chicago like

I'll probably end up spending the $7 if 1080p isn't out tomorrow. I guess it would be worth supporting them

You do know the original TCM was made with a PG rating in mind and would have been PG13 if it was released now? And that the only reason the original Halloween is rated R is because of some nudity?
