They should change the rules about album tracks / non-singles. Maybe even make a separate chart.

I kinda agree. Maybe somethig like let the top 3 album tracks from 1 album chart, but not the rest.
Hot 100 and BB200 have to much in common now and that will only increase with streaming increasing.

I don't think there should be any restrictions placed on the amount of album tracks that can chart on the Hot 100.
I believe this for the same reason that I'm against the recurrent rules: the Hot 100 is meant to measure the most popular songs in the country, and if one of those songs happens to have spent a long time on the chart or happens to be an album track, so be it.

My point is if Beonce has 12/12 and Drake has 19/20 (Hotline Bling is recurrent) then it's not the songs being popular put the album.
But also true that in 2016 that line between song and album is more and more going away.

In which country is something like this? I'm sure somwhere is (or maybe was?) national chart with this kind of rules.

Streaming negates the whole concept of an album for charting purposes... Once streaming fully takes over people like Flo Rida and Rihanna who could never sell albums en masse in the US will suddenly start looking they they can actually push units when instead people are just listening to the HOT song of the moment over and over.

It's no different than 1 hit wonders from the 90s going Platinum and 2x Platinum, even 3x Platinum off of 1 strong hit because it was almost forced to buy an album if you wanted a song (more convenient, better pricing, and albums were easier to find). It's not like they'll be pushing Diamond, they'll be pushing 1x/2x Platinum at the most.

Adele dropped out in the most unfair way. I demand reparations.

Not feeling very confident on the Drake and Beyonce tracks plus the fact that the Spotify website hasn't updated in a week isn't helping.

I hope this coming week is the last one for a while the Hot 100 gets flooded with album tracks. I'm not necessarily saying they shouldn't chart, but it's annoying when one album takes up 20% of the Hot 100 and another CD takes up over 10%. That's almost 1/3 of the entire Hot 100 filled with non-singles.

Add on top of that the discography of a recently deceased artist...this chart is just a mess. Really hope other songs can be given more deserving opportunities and aren't robbed of a top 40 hit.

#2 songs last 2 years:
7 years: 3 week sales #1, radio #1, streaming #2
thinking out loud: 1 week sales #1 (6 weeks #2), radio #2, 7 week streaming #2
hotline bling: 2 week sales #1, radio #2, 3 week streaming #2
sugar: 4 week sales #2, radio #2, streaming #3
stressed out: 3 week sales #2, radio #2, streaming #4
trap queen: sales #3, radio #9, 7 week streaming #1
been awhile since a female #2...

2+ 100k selling weeks this year:
7 Years, Work, My House, Stressed Out, Love Yourself 7
No 5
One Dance 3
When Doves Cry, Purple Rain, Panda, Pillowtalk 2
Weird how 5 different songs stopped exactly at 7.
Earlier this year I was still griping about songs without 2 150k+ weeks going #1. But Weeknd's #1s look like great sellers compared to P & P.
Last year I commented that the last song with only 1 150k+ week was Disturbia, but that got 12 100k weeks. This is more Buy U a Drank/What Goes Around Comes Around territory.

This.
Plus what's happening is an anomaly. People are talking like this happens regularly. Just let the moment be. No need to scream for chart changes.

they're a typical example of legendary quality albums, so no, not really any big hits. maybe "Creep" from their debut album Pablo Honey.
but albums like Pablo Honey, Bends, OK computer and Kid A are considered among the best albums of all time in UK. Bends and OK are absolute masterpieces imo.
and they're labelmates with Adele
