If she had released before 1989 or waited until mid to late January. I think Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga still have hits left. I would not say either is finished.

I think 1989 will get more weeks on top in January, though not necessarily consecutively, because the CD is still selling so strong.

I think Swift will pass the 11 weeks she had with Fearless, and get up to around Frozen's 13 weeks.

This keeps 1989 on track to become the second biggest release so far this decade, behind 21 of course in weeks on top and sales.

I think 1989 will block Title in January not because I love Taylor but 1989 just too massive. If no big releases in upcoming couple weeks, 1989 will play 21 teas and destroy the charts

This forum really needs to decide whether making a hip hop album is a detriment to album sales or a boost. Because I cannot count the number of times I read on here in the past how RR didn't sell as well as PF because she alienated her urban fanbase. Shouldn't she be selling at least 200k now that she's gone 'back to her roots'? These numbers are not catastrophic, but by no means can we call them great.

That's assuming she would do the same numbers any week of the year. She released Q4 during one of the biggest shopping weeks of the year, which implies that she would do a fair bit less at any other time.

Nicki would've had to release in early October considering all the #1s since then (mostly Taylor ) have done more than 160k, but at that point Nicki wouldn't have the holiday boost.

TNC will pass the 500k mark eventually. But will the Pink Print come even close to it? That's the real question here.
