The trades are saying $750-800m but I think that's bull. The film supposedly cost $175m. Double that, from production getting even would be 350m.

So, if Squad had a marketing budget like BvS, $150m, they would need 625m to break even. We'll see though...

It was OK, but very flawed. Poor editing, lazy writing and dodgy dialogue. They also tried to shoehorn in too much.

For me, the better film would have centred around Joker, Harley and their gang. The premise of Waller recruiting bad guys to defeat a badder guy could still remain, just use captured Harley to manipulate Joker. Waller could give them added weight in the form of Deadshot, Diablo etc if they felt they were needed at all (I don't).

That way, we'd be able to focus on a more fleshed out origin story of Joker and Harley throughout, as they were the most interesting and complex elements of the film. And it'd allow the whole thing to become a bit camper, creepier and explore this ravepunk aesthetic with killer soundtrack.

I'd change the big bad of the movie because The Enchantress ended up lame, cliche and belly dancing. It'd be far more interesting to watch people as twisted as Joker and Harley go to town on someone we aren't rooting for (i.e. Batman), but it becomes crap when the big bad is a magical being with vortexes and powers. You want it to be more 'human'. Or, if The Enchantress was to remain - have her manipulate/possess a rival gang leader or even another iconic Batman villain.

It just wasn't a great movie but it was entertaining AF. I blame the script tbh, the movie made no sense at all.
There was absolutely no conversations longer than 1 minute in this entire movie. Barely between any characters. The movie was mostly one liners.

& where is the Diablo praise? He made the movie for me. He was fantastic and the most likable imo. I didn't even know it was the guy from Crazy Beautiful until I IMDB'd him








& I love Margot Robbie but am I the only one that found Harley Quinn annoying AF? I mean her one liners were beyond basic and predictable and not funny at all. I get why white gays love her but she didn't do anything for me in the movie. I thought they were go more in depth with her but she barely had a conversation throughout the whole movie.



It was a solid 7/10 thanks to Diablo, Croc and Katana

Harley's performance was good but her script was bad. All her jokes that failed were not her own fault but sometimes the fault of editing as they pauses were to big.

This is a ****ing cool movie. It is funny. Everyone in my theater loves it so much. We laughed at almost everything Harlsey says and does.

I don't get it. It's day to day performance drops are in line with Civil War. BoxOffice just predicted it will fall to 38M 2nd weekend. That's a 72% drop

I know weekends are different than week days but still

I agree with all of this. I loved every single one of them, but wasn't pleased with the villain. It just needed to be less supernatural. Especially dealing with characters like Deadshot, Harley and Joker who posses no powers.

so a sequel isn't 100% yet? I see the budget overall being reduced if there is one then again not quantity but quality

They're haven't announced anything yet but I would be very surprised if we didn't get a sequel, it has opened extremely well globally. It's heavily rumored Harley is getting a movie in 2019 as well but that's too far...

Saw the movie today with younger brother. I thought it was good but felt a bit underwhelmed at some parts. My brother really enjoyed it.

The only way this would've gotten a sequel is if it had killed it. However, these characters are gonna pop up sonewhere else.

Boomerang. They already tied him to Flash, because he is one of Flash's old time villains. So, I would be surprised not to see him in a small role in Flash 2018.

Joker & Harley. From this point on there's not gonna be a movie where you see one without the other, at least in the DCEU. We'll have to wait for Ben's plans for his Batman movie but I'm pretty sure we'll see them there.

Deadshot & Amanda. They could really pop up anywhere around the universe.

Rick flag. Forget about him, he ain't coming back unless there's a sequel and even then I'm not too sure. Same goes for Croc and Katana.

The only way I can see Katana pop up again is if they go for Solo Harley Quinn movie and decide to put her in as a Gotham City Siren along with Catwoman and Poison Ivy
