LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Pop singer Britney Spears and her second husband, Kevin Federline, have finalized their divorce and agreed to share custody of their two young sons, court papers showed on Tuesday.

But Spears' lawyer asked that details of the child custody arrangements remain sealed from public view, citing both media attention and the possibility of "criminals who might target the minor children for financial gain," according to documents obtained by celebrity Web site TMZ.com.
Spears, 25, filed for divorce last November from Federline, a dancer and aspiring rapper, after two years of marriage citing irreconcilable differences. The couple have two children -- Sean Preston, who turns 2 in September, and Jayden James, who turns one in September.
The marriage was the second for the former pop princess and came eight months after a brief union with a childhood friend in Las Vegas that was annulled after three days.
After filing for divorce from Federline, Spears embarked on a club-hopping, hard-partying lifestyle that ended with her shaving her head and entering rehab in February.
According to TMZ.com. Spears' lawyer, Laura Wasser, asked the judge in the divorce proceedings to keep private the details that relate to the specific timetable and transportation arrangement for the children.
"Such information greatly increases the chances that the actions of the media could threaten the safety of the minor children by, for example, causing a traffic accident or by exposing the minor children to criminals who might target the minor children for financial gain," Wasser wrote in her motion.
A divorce decree officially ending the marriage was issued on Monday. Wasser said details of financial support will also remain confidential.
On Tuesday, Life & Style magazine reported on its Web site Spears has just sold her house in the seaside enclave of Malibu for just under $12 million. According to the magazine, the seven-bedroom, hilltop mansion was purchased by an anonymous buyer.

I think Wall To Wall or Stronger either one of them should be nominated for video of the year but we'll see what the nominees turn out to be. I also think Same Girl should get a nominee for best R&B video and Wouldn't Get Far for best rap video but again I'll have to wait for the nominees hope all of these get nominated though!

Aren't the VMAs scheduled for the end of August? Is this gonna be a nightmare like last year where every category is really Viewers Choice? Am I gonna hate seeing Rihanna and Avril being overly praised for ****?
I hate how far down the VMAs have plunged.

Britney Spears is reportedly planning to take ex-husband Kevin Federline to Disney
World to celebrate their divorce.
The Toxic singer - whose divorce from Kevin was finalised on Monday - wants to whisk him and their two children, 22-month-old Sean Preston and 10-month-old Jayden James, off to the Florida resort.
Although the couple are now officially divorced, custody arrangements for the two boys are yet to finalised.
Britney is keen to be the primary carer and sees the holiday as the perfect opportunity to show Kevin that she is a good parent.
A source said: “Britney loves Disney and thinks it’s the perfect place for her and Kevin to show the children they are still a family.
“They are sharing custody at the moment, but Britney would love to get full custody but needs to win Kevin over.”
The pair, who split last November after a two-year marriage, have rowed constantly over the care of their two sons.
Kevin, who has two other children from a previous relationship, previously claimed the 25-year-old pop star - who recently completed a stint in rehab for alcoholism - was too unstable to be a full-time mother.
Britney’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, says the pair are willing to put their differences aside for the sake of Sean Preston and Jayden James.
She said: “The divorce is final. Britney is okay with the arrangements. She would like to be with the kids more. She said that. She thinks Kevin would like that too.”
A custody hearing has been set for August 14.
