I see your point loud and clear but Jay-Z having homophobic lyrics a while ago and Eminem premiering his 15 days ago isn't that comparable. If we were to guess which one has changed their mind, which one would it be? Anyway, I would have harsh criticism for Beyonce if Jay did release a homophobic song. That is for SURE. This whole "you can't criticize one popstar if your fave has done something similar" bull is not a valid means of tearing an argument down unless you already have the person's opinion on their fave doing it.

I can forgive Eminem's prior homophobia but this is 2013! At least in America we should be past that. But we clearly are not. And that is not helped by Eminem saying he will break tables over the backs of ******s. I know you're insulted by me bringing this up but it really has nothing to do with Rihanna. I want to like it because I like Rihanna's music but I don't feel I can connect to it in regards to Eminem. That was basically what I was saying. When I've been listened to this I've been skipping his verses anyway.

Even if you do, people will still think he is homophobic. He explained the way he uses the f word on his songs, but if they want to keep thinking he is, they're free to do it. Their opinions about him haven't changed the fact he still has fans out there, and he's shown it every single week by selling lots of copies of his singles, even "Rap God", despite the homophobic lyrics, was praised by the critics and well received by the GP.

You're completely right though. Even if he explains WHY he uses it, the fact that he does use it is still a problem.
