My high school has a very large campus. It spans over two blocks and has MULTIPLE fields for several sports in addition to an array of outdoor areas to sit and eat lunch at if you didn't like the cafeteria.
Here, your grade in gym class depends solely on whether you change clothes and participate in the activity. So, if you didn't change, your marking period grade would fall 10 POINTS. You could fail for the year playing that ****. You need 4 years of gym class to graduate too!

HOLD UP! I do NOT live in NYC. I live in LONG ISLAND. It's the suburbs.
I live in a nice school district with a semi-high property tax.
My school is the same way with the four years of gym. I believe it was 4 points if you didn't change. I got a 70 for the year. I got a 64 for my final quarter ONLY because I didn't change for the last day of school (it was the LAST day & I was about to skip!). I still passed for the year.
I'm educated though. I had very high grades in everything this past year except Gym (because I didn't change) and Geometry (which I still passed but it was so hard for me).
