Oh I didn't know they would have to confirm the starters themselves were pure type. That was always the case. I thought they meant their final evolutions would also be pure type, but maybe I'm over-reading it

I'm here for sound and light types. I wonder which Pokemon would get their types changed though.
The Whismur line, Chimecho, Chatot, Kricketune, and Audino would probably changed to sound/have it as a secondary type. I can't think of any that would get changed to light, except maybe Solrock and Lunatone.

No way they will ever pull a GSC//RSE again, it will give them a lot of backlash by true Little Pokémonsters.

You might need 2 3DS consoles to transfer though, but I hope they will release some kind of Pokébox app in the 3DS store where you could store your Pokémon from B/W(2) and take them out on X/Y

Tbh, I didn't even care when I couldn't transfer my pokemon from Silver to Sapphire. I was just really excited to catch all the new ones. Of course I was way younger then, and now I know a lot more about the mechanics in the game, even if I regret knowing these sometimes. I'm a bit addicted to breeding lol, I have a lot of pokemon in my boxes with perfect natures, moves and really awesome IVs. I really want to use them in X and Y.

Your idea of an app is amazing, and I've seen other people discussing on Serebii and Smogon how that's actually possible.

I always thought Physic=Light.
My predictions for the starters
FroaKing = Water/Ice
Chespin = Grass/Ground or Rock
Fennikin = Fire

Why not? They did for Magnemite when they added Steel.

IMO, they won't add a light type because that's changing not only Pokémon types, it's changing Pokémon moves through four different generations! And Pokémon weaknesses and resistances!

Then, again, this is basically a reboot of the entire game, so anything is possible!

"Light" Pokemons get the "normal" type cause there's no "light" type, but doesn't mean that all the "normal" pokemon are "light" pokemon...
