I think that 2 am happening occurred only once and was then concurrently being used by Taylor on many of her songs. Like how a John Mayer or a Joe Jonas experience was only once but used multiple times by Taylor. Although well, we really don't know.
I actually love these references of swift. They really make me form a concrete image in my mind of the scenario on the song.

That's the same reason I'm starting to get into Springsteen; both Taylor and Gaga love him. Both of them really have had that affect on me; they're always talking about artists I've heard of but have never listened to and now I'm starting to listen to those artists.

Yeah, one that people haven't realized yet, the music that Taylor has literally 'introduced' to her fans were good music. I can bet a lot of those kids on her shows that have never heard, say The Beach Boys, are now listening to them because of her cover.
I've listened to the 'underground' music for a while now, and literally grew up listening to the oldies (my parents are collectors). There's nothing new for me at least, but pleasantly surprised that one of my fave also listen the same kind of music. And who knew that Taylor Swift, one of biggest act herself, also listens to Indie artists? She brought her audience to good music, unlike a lot of mainstream acts today.
So it's kinda ridiculous for people saying that Taylor has no influence. Or her '15 mins' is up.

I've actually only heard a handful of his songs so far; YouTube is really the only access I have to his music at this point. Of the few songs I've heard, Dancing In The Dark is my favorite... I've had the chorus stuck in my head all week.
I find it interesting how White Horse and Dear John- each arguably the most depressing and well-written songs of their respective albums- include the phrase "I should've known."
It goes back to what she said in Vogue, "I'm usually really smart, unless I'm in love, in which case I'm really stupid."
(I'm paraphrasing, of course).
