I saw this randomly in tumblr and this person deserves an award.

In defense of Justin Bieber
What he did was wrong. Of course it was. It was horrible and incredibly dangerous. Driving under the influence is a terrible thing to do. Nothing I say in this post is meant to negate that,or imply that I don’t think that’s wrong.
However,
Justin Bieber has been bullied since he was 12. If you took out his name and said “A boy began posting videos of himself on youtube. Numerous people mocked him, and facebook groups saying “If I had one bullet in my gun and I was in a room with Osama Bin Laden, Sadam Hussein and various other terrorists/mass-murderers, I’d kill this young boy whose only crime is having a high voice or repetitive song lyrics.”
No, that doesn’t excuse anything. But it should make you feel sorry for him, and if you ever had a part in that than you are partially responsible for what brought him to the place he is now.
Drug addiction. Drug addiction is not an easy thing to get away from, and even though he’s in the spotlight and has millions of fans, nobody has helped him to get over this and stop taking drugs.
Look, do you want this to make him worse, to make him feel more like the scapegoat of an increasingly angry world, or should we support him in changing and moving forwards from this.
I also can’t help but feel terrible for the Beliebers, and also greatly respectful of some of them. Yes, there are some Beliebers who hate on other celebrities, and that’s wrong. I honestly can’t blame them for being on the defensive though. Everyone has always hated on them for liking his music, for supporting someone who the majority think is stupid.
Even celebrities treat them badly. Jared Padalecki assuming that all Beliebers are 8 year olds? Not cool. Some were offended by what he said, and that’s fine. Yes, some reacted wrongly. But to just insult an entire fanbase because a few of them threatened to boycott his show, based on something he started? That doesn’t seem fair to me and I can’t in good conscience support it.
But there are Beliebers who are trying to support Justin to come through this and become a better person. Yesterday, “We Will Always Support Justin” trended on twitter. I can’t help but be reminded of how Lovatics reacted when Demi Lovato was in a similar situation. Addicted to drugs, suffering from unspecified “emotional and physical difficulties”, and having physically assaulted one of her backup dancers, many people would have thought similar things about her. But look at her now! She’s recovered and inspired hundreds, perhaps thousands, to do the same (including me). Because her fans didn’t give up on her, and she was never as widely mocked and hated as Justin Bieber has been since he first became famous.
There are fans of Justin Bieber who he has helped, people his music has supported and given strength to. Those people must be feeling heartbroken right now, and my heart goes out to them.
So many celebrities have gone through periods where they’ve done things like this, including drug addiction, breaking the law and even prison time.
Look at Robert Downey Jr. Look at Demi Lovato. There are numerous other examples.
How about we accept that what he did was wrong, and instead of bullying and mocking him for things entirely unrelated to his crime, try to support him into becoming a better person?
Tell him you’re disappointed in him. Tell him honestly why what he did was wrong. Don’t keep mocking him for things that have nothing to do with actual crimes.
Maybe if we’d all given him a break in the first place, he wouldn’t be like this now. Think about it.

Remember when everyone expected 2014 to be all kinds of amazing with a break and everything. Turns out only a month of 2014 is worse than 2013 alltogether

In order to see the light at the end of the tunnel you need to travel through the darkness first. He will have his time
Honestly though, people gotta get tired of hating him. They just have to. They act as if he's a serial puppy killer when he's just living his life. He may do dumb things every now and then? Yeah, that's a part of growing up: learning from your mistakes. These mistakes don't warrant such deep hatred though

That's true, but its just sad that people are oblivious to it. Especially with the influences he has around him, you can't expect everything to be tip-top. I stand by what I've said many times before, he really needs Usher he was such a good influence, I think he would be able to get back on track with him as a guardian type.

I agree too but I don't think Jeremy will let that happen especially now that he is being exposed in the media .

Btw the most accurate thing I've read in a while
"I think the biggest misconception with Beliebers is
people think they support Justin's actions when really they support who he is"

So happy they're all there with him, whether it's for a intervention or just to be there to support him or both, I'm happy regardless. I do hope it's for a intervention tho.

Except his actions represent who he is, so by supporting him you also support his actions
