10. Cobra Starship feat. Leighton Meester “Good Girls Go Bad”
Who would've thought a Cobra Statrship song would become my favorites for the year. I never get to listen to their previous singles but with
Good Girls Go Bad made me curious enough to take the chance. It is one of those songs that took me some time to love and eventually became my joints last year. Actress turned singer Leighton Meester adds flavor to this jam making it interesting and fun. If you ask why this song is so high and even landing at #10, it is because
Good Girls Go Bad spent one of the longest time in my list plus peaking a couple of days at #01. This single also helped me to listen to their latest record and I must say their songs are good and such a fun pop unlike what their old stuff. This song is probably their breakout hit, this is almost everyone's favorite and it includes me. Hope to hear more of what they've got for us. Right now, this is their best single to date.

09. Kelly Clarkson “Already Gone”
Kelly Clarkson released her best single from All I Ever Wanted and it is definitely a big hit. We all know the comparison of
Already Gone to
Halo as the melody are both the same, if I have to choose which is better I will definitely say it's
Already Gone. The lyrics are well written and Kelly Clarkson delivered the song with so much emotion.
Already Gone is about more than four minutes long but I never notice that because I really enjoy listening to it from beginning til the end. The sad song talks about a relationship that is about to end and lines from the song "I'm already gone, already gone. You can't make it feel right when you know that it's wrong" explains it all. The music video suites the single well, it kinda reminds you of some scenes from Avril Lavigne's
Nobody's Home. Even the looks are alike. Kelly Clarkson had a good 2009, I hope to see more of what the original American Idol has store for us in the future.

08. David Cook “Come Back To Me”
Just above Kelly Clarkson is her fellow American Idol winner David Cook with
Come Back To Me. This single came to a surprise to be a big hit for David Cook especially here. I didn't get to recognize
Come Back To Me as a standout track from his debut self-titled album. With enough radio and airplays, this song became a popular ballad making me so hook at it. Come Back To Me simply talks about letting someone to be free if you love that person and this is heard on the chorus part. The music video is also entertaining as you see Cook in the completely moving in reverse. I don't even bother if it is a cheap copy of Coldplay's
The Scientist music video. David Cook truly deserves to be called the American Idol, he can deliver such great tunes especially with the ballads as of this type. I'm looking forward for what he has in store for us especially about his new album coming up.
