Wow. I don’t know about you guys, but I thought it would be this and Bleeding Love battling it out for #1 since the beginning. I had no idea everyone loved Call My Name so much. Fight for This Love was Cheryl’s debut single, and what a debut it was. I’m not gonna lie, I had my doubts about her going solo, I think I even set out to hate this song when I first heard it. Within a couple of days I caved in and just accepted that this song was amazing and that Cheryl had what it takes to go solo. The lyrics are probably the worst thing about the song, not saying that they’re bad of course. The real strong points are the structure and the vocals. Cheryl served me with probably the one thing I doubted most about her, confidence. With this surprise elimination, we’re down to the final two.
