Mamma Mia! (the movie) is beyond forgotten, but the Broadway show is still firmly engraved into people's minds. Still more remembered than Feline Pooge.
Idk if this generation even has a Grease. I hate to say it, but the closest thing we have is High School Musical. Say what you will, but it's the only movie-musical of this generation with a great selling soundtrack, recognizable songs, and a premise that people of most, if not all ages, are capable of recognizing.

I think Passion of the Christ might take the cake for biggest forgotten cultural phenomenon of the 2000's. Literally EVERYONE was talking about it (even some of my classmates in 2nd grade ) and it made insane amounts of controversy paralleled by none, but I never hear anything about it anymore.
Juno is up there too, but the movie is so dated and lame, so I can see why people don't go back to watch.
No offense but Meryl Streep sounded absolutely hideous in Mamma Mia. I have no clue how she sounded so beautiful and powerful in Into The Woods but it does comfort me a little bit.
