Finally watched the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
I found it completely random but enjoyable at the same time. The characters were perhaps the stupidest I have ever seen in a horror film (especially Franklin like no wonder they all ditched him when they got to the house) but it was able to successfully merge creepiness and comedy (it might be the funniest horror film i've seen that wasn't OTT stupid tbh). I found the Grandfather character especially odd like
i'm assuming he was on the brink of death and they believed drinking blood would prolong his life

Not in the same league as the first Halloween or ANOES but comes close to the first Friday. Idt I will get the sequels tho especially after the feedback I have got on here, I don't think I can handle anymore awful horror sequels

Don't watch sequels! They are complete terrible! I can't believe that Renee Zellweger & Matthew McConaughey stared in of them!

I liked the remake and prequel, and I thought 3 made for an okay slasher movie. 2 had a good final girl but otherwise did nothing for me. 4 is terrible, but kind hilariously so. 3D is just plain bad
Watched Oculus (FTV) and Silent Night, Deadly Night 4: Initiation (FTV - I know it's not eve Christmas) for the challenge. I liked Oculus a lot but I thought it was a little over-hyped. Great acting though and the direction was amazing. 7/10. SNDN4 had some cool kills but in the end it was just an awful direct to video mess released in one of the worst decades for horror. Didn't expect anything more though. 3/10.
Watched 28 Weeks Later for the October challenge last night and thought it was a mess. Huge letdown considering how amazing the first movie is - the only scary/tense part of the movie is the opening scene
