I'm new here, I'm from Venezuela. I like Madonna since Confessions On A Dance Floor (I think that it is a perfect album), I also love Ray Of Light is perfection
And I just love MDNA, is so good, Gang Bang, Girl Gone Wild, Love Spent, Free Falling, Masterpiece, I Don't Give A Damn, Some Girls & I'm Adiccted are my favorites xD
It's not brilliant, it's above average. Come on. Confessions was brilliant. Control was brilliant. MDNA is not on that level.
But wasn't this expected to sell way less? It isn't doing wonders on iTunes, here we are celebrating the fact that two of its songs are sitting in the top 100 when in reality, a lot of pop stars have their entire album sitting in the top 100.
I'm not hating, I'm wondering.
we are celebrating the fact that alternative marketing works for MDNA and the fact that Madonna can still charting around 300k is something extra-ordinary. Plus, US is not her main market and I give her credit for that making songs and be able to stay current.

If you say so. Madonna's always going to be current, so it should come as no surprise that she's going to debut at #1 or rule the charts for awhile.
yes MDNA is brilliant. You can compare Control with MDNA..like apples with oranges.
I'm just saying that calling MDNA brilliant is a bit much, considering that it doesn't really break any new artistic ground. I'm sorry, that's my opinion and I'm going to stick with it.

Gang Bang is amazing though.
it is brilliant and technically well-produced. Not pretentious..to my standard at least.

I completely agree with this right here. It's no ''Ray Of Light'', ''Erotica'' or ''Like A Prayer'', but it certainly outrules all my expectations I had after hearing the first two singles.
I think ''I'm A Sinner'' is massively underrated. It's properly amazing. One of my personal highlights.
And the 300k+ 1st-week sales really excite me. It's because of the Super Bowl, probably. More people are aware of Madonna after it.

Pop stars 30 years younger. Do you realize that?
Which popstar (or any other artist from other genre) over 40 has the entire album in the top 100?

Well, for example, when Janet next releases an album wouldn't you be celebrating two of the songs being in the top 100 after a bad start? Madonna, like Janet, isn't as young or popular with the current generation. You can't ask for much more 30 years later.

Does anyone know which song you bitches said that sounded like I like it Rough? I forgot and I wanna hear the similarities. But since I never thought of it while listening - maybe someone lied?
Which, btw- this album is up there with my favorites now, for some reason Music and this one are my top albums from Madge.
