I really wanted a neo-soul type album. I think that would suit her now more than ever. I have extremely low expectations but what comes will come.
I just wish she would find her lane and branch out as best as she can. She's extremely talented and reducing her vocals on stupid ass songs will be incredibly nauseating.
However, I would love love love if she hooks up with John Legend on a track. They'd make magic.
^ I get what you're saying and I feel like she should go for a more mature sound as well, but don't lose your hopes just yet, we know her albums are always very eclectic, we might just get a little bit of everything. I do hope we get a more cohesive album, that - for me - has been the biggest flaw in her most recent records. I need to see a clear, distinct vision from her again. I hope she comes back focused, hard.
I'm just excited to get some new info on her forthcoming album.
No matter what she puts out, I need X to pour her heart and soul into her work and actually not move on after the first single. I'm ready for that ratchet caviar
